History

Sac Fil began as a round table discussion in 2017, "Introduction to Filipinx Queer and Trans Identities." Co-founded by Daniel Domaguin, LCSW, and Nikki Abeleda, LCSW, this movement has evolved into a force for social justice within the LGBTQIA+ Filipinx and Black, Indigenous, Queer and Transgender People of Color (BIQTPOC) community. Fueled by the desire to amplify visibility, foster a sense of community, and provide a dedicated space for meeting like-minded individuals, this collective serves as a pillar of recognition for shared identities, issues, and stories. Rooted in the principles of community, solidarity, and relationship building, it strives to create meaningful connections not only within its own community but also with other LGBTQIA+ organizations and similarly aligned entities. Through its commitment to collective liberation, this initiative serves as a catalyst for positive change, breaking barriers, and promoting inclusivity for all.

Uplifting the voices & identities of the Filipinx LGBTQIA+ diaspora & beyond.
