What Our Logo Represents
The Sun: Resistance
Our emblem features a solitary sampaguita blossom, the national flower of the Philippines, adorned in varying shades of yellow. This hue, symbolic of the sun and stars on the Philippine flag, represents unity across the nation, signifying the first provinces to resist Spanish rule. The yellow sampaguita blossom serves as a powerful symbol, reflecting the diverse identities within the Filipinx community, acknowledging the varying levels of connection individuals may have with Filipinx peoples and the Philippine nation.

Sampaguita: Strength, Resilience, & Grounded
While the sampaguita typically grows on branches, our blossom stands alone—a poignant representation of queer and trans individuals who often find themselves distanced from the familial, ethnic, and national branches. The stem, firmly rooted in the ground, signifies the strength, resilience, and grounded nature of LGBTQIA+ Filipinx people.

Rainbow Sand: Intersectional Identities
The polychromatic and rainbow sand surrounding the blossom holds a deeper meaning, recognizing Indigenous peoples and others from the archipelago who may not identify as Filipinx or with the Philippine nation. Acknowledging that not everyone aligns with the Filipinx identity, it becomes crucial to understand that the term may not be inclusive of all archipelagic peoples and may involve land occupation and appropriation of Indigenous cultures without consent.
